The story of Tigmi Berber began in 2021, with the desire to create a place deeply rooted in its environment and in Moroccan architectural identity. Built on a plot of around 1,400 m², the project was completed at the end of 2025, after several years devoted to construction and finishing work.
Conceived as a true contemporary riad, the house was designed around local, natural materials, in keeping with traditional craftsmanship. Stone, earth, cypress, eucalyptus, mahogany and roukou wood, as well as reed, tadelakt and bejmat, were chosen to give the place its warm, authentic and timeless character.
Through this architecture, our aim was to create a balance between tradition and simplicity, while leaving an essential place for the nature surrounding the house. Tigmi Berber was born from this vision: a peaceful, authentic place, inspired by the region's traditional houses and by the Berber spirit, where every material, every detail and every space tells a story.
Located in the village of Achaouen, just a few kilometres from Sidi Kaouki, the house enjoys a calm, preserved setting, open to the ocean. Surrounded by a handful of traditional village dwellings, it fits naturally into this landscape between land, sea and local culture.
Tigmi Berber is, above all, a story of simplicity, authenticity and connection with its surroundings: a place imagined to preserve the soul of Morocco while offering a contemporary vision of hospitality.
